Clara Collins
Clara Collins is a poet and teacher located in Bellingham, Washington. She has an MFA from The University of Oregon and her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Mississippi Review, Bicoastal Review, Ninth Letter, Ellipsis, Radar, Lucky Jefferson, and elsewhere. Her work is invested in notions of beauty and ugliness and in illuminating experiences of girl- and womanhood, specifically those viewed as taboo, unattractive, or shameful. She is currently working on her first collection.
Clara has taught creative writing courses for three years, two at the college level at the University of Oregon, and one at the middle school where she currently works. She welcomes inquiries from potential students of all ages and is able to accommodate in person or virtual sessions.
