Clara Collins is a poet and teacher based in Bellingham, Washington. Her work appears or is forthcoming in Ninth Letter, Mississippi Review, Bellevue Literary Review, and Radar Poetry, among others, and has received support from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. She is currently at work on her first full-length poetry collection.

Born in Portland, Oregon, Clara received her BA in English Literature from Whitman College and earned an MFA in poetry from the University of Oregon, where she taught creative writing and composition. She is a Staff Reader for Ploughshares and spends her days teaching middle school literature and creative writing.
